Fenway & Longwood Area
Just some of the attractions in the area include the legendary Fenway Park, Museum of Fine Arts, Symphony Hall, and the House of Blues. The area also features many of the best hospitals in the country: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Award winning restaurants line the streets of this neighborhood, and allow diners to have a casual dinner of burgers and beer, almost anywhere. If you desire a something a little more upscale, you can rest assured you'll find it here. “Citizen Public House,” “Eastern Standard” and “Island Creek Oyster Bar” make that clear.
Transportation wise, there is easy access to Both B and E MBTA Green Lines. MA I-90 (MA Turnpike) runs through the area as well. Fenway is home to Boston Latin School(the nation’s first public school), and houses many top-tier colleges, including Northeastern, Boston University, Berkeley, Emmanuel, and Simmons College. There is also plenty of green space in the area, which is great for recreational use. Some of these area’s include “Fenway Victory Gardens,” “Back Bay Fens,” “Higgins Circle,” and smaller parks connected by waterways and parkways collectively referred to as the “Emerald Necklace.”
